World Badminton Federation is holding its first-ever World Badminton Day this 5th July 2022
Waikato Badminton Association is joining in on the celebrations with the following events below!
Have A Go Day
From 1.30 pm – 3 pm, WBA will be running a free Have A Go Day for anyone who wants to give badminton a go or learn a few new tricks. It is free to attend with all equipment provided. Tell your friends and family who might be curious about the sport! No sign-up necessary – just pop in and give it a go. Please wear sports suitable clothing and non-marking shoes.
Speed Doubles
WBA is offering a free and fun doubles competition. Starting at 7 pm Speed Doubles will consist of short doubles matches with spot prizes offered for best-dressed partners. You may partner with anyone.
The format will be decided upon after the closing of entries depending on the number of teams entered. There may be multiple divisions created depending on final entry numbers.
Entries close Sunday 3rd July at 10 pm.
