Waikato Badminton is pleased to announce that it has appointed Tracey Hallam in the role of Director of Coaching to start on the 2nd of January 2017. Tracey will replace Peter R. Jensen who is returning to Denmark with his family in the end of October after being in the role for 2,5 years.
Tracey has a huge background in Badminton being a former top international player representing England. Tracey won a Commonwealth Games Gold Medal in Melbourne 2006 in Ladies Singles and reached the quarter finals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Tracey has previously worked for Waikato Badminton as KiwiSport Officer before taking up a role as National Singles Coach with Badminton Australia and is currently working as Head Coach for Canterbury Badminton. Tracey was also part of the 2012 winning Wisden Cup team.
Tracey has a strong background in coaching at Grassroots as well as High Performance and she is well respected within the Badminton community for her work. We are delighted to welcome Tracey back to the Waikato and look forward to continuing the great work Peter has done in the past 2,5 years.
