Senior Open Training program is aimed at players over 16 years old (no experience required), motivated to learn new badminton skills, improve their game, or just get more court time under their belt. Senior Open Training is held once per week on Sundays (11.00am-1.00pm) during school term and registrations are taken on a quarterly basis (first come first serve to a maximum of 20 players each term).

This development opportunity is open to players in the following order of priority:

  1. Club level (casual and non-representative D & C grade) players
  2. Current WBA Masters or Senior Division players
  3. All other players

Senior Rep Squad program is aimed at players over 18 years old motivated to represent and compete for Waikato at regional and national tournaments. Trials for Senior Representative Teams typically occur in February of each year.

All nominating players are required to attend trials, unless permission has been granted by the selectors. The Senior Rep Squad trains twice per week during the Inter-Association season.
